The Willow Spring High School Wind Ensemble earned national recognition April 16–17 as one of eight groups selected for the President’s Cup National Concert Band Invitational at the Hylton Center in Manassas, Virginia. Widely considered the nation’s top concert band festival, the event features elite high school ensembles alongside military musicians and clinicians.

Participation is by invitation only, making the selection a major honor. Students took part in workshops and performances led by premier military bands. Seniors Chris Cole and Ethan Guard were also chosen to perform with The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own.”
